Makhtota Studio is a free in-browser tool for Arabic calligraphy. Type a name or phrase, choose a hand — Thuluth, Diwani, Naskh, Ruqʿah, Kufic or Farsi — shape each letter, add a greeting-card background, and export a print-ready PNG or SVG.

What you can do

Is Makhtota Studio free?

Yes. Designing and previewing calligraphy in the studio is free, and you can export a PNG image at no cost. It runs in the browser with nothing to install.

هل استوديو مخطوطة مجاني؟

نعم. التصميم والمعاينة في الاستوديو مجاناً، ويمكنك تصدير صورة PNG بلا مقابل. يعمل في المتصفح دون تثبيت أي برنامج.

Which Arabic calligraphy styles can I write in?

Thuluth, Diwani, Naskh, Ruqʿah, Kufic and Farsi (Nastaʿliq). Each letter can be swapped for the alternate forms the font itself draws, and joined letters can be stretched with kashida.

ما خطوط الخط العربي المتاحة؟

Can I export the calligraphy for printing?

Yes. Export a high-resolution PNG, or a vector SVG that stays sharp at any size — suitable for framing, signage and print.

Can I make an Eid or Ramadan greeting card?

Yes. The studio has a greeting-card mode with ready backgrounds for Eid, Ramadan and Hajj; you write the name and greeting over the artwork and export the finished card.

هل يمكن تصميم بطاقة معايدة للعيد أو رمضان؟

نعم. في الاستوديو وضع معايدات بخلفيات جاهزة للعيد ورمضان والحج؛ تكتب الاسم والتهنئة فوق التصميم ثم تصدّر البطاقة جاهزة.

Do I need an account?

No account is needed to design and export a PNG. Signing in with a makhtotastore.com account is only asked for when saving a board or downloading the vector SVG.
